Lanbril of RQ2 was "Offically" declared dead. It was one of several totally whacky cults that got printed due to someone being really enthusiastic. It is way too gross and silly.

It's like Yelorna, with the complex organization, several formal subgroups and maybe 50 members. Really silly stuff. The basic idea of a thieves cult isn't impossible, (though Orlanth fills that role pretty well in Pavis) nor is the unicorn riders cult a bad idea. It's just the details and the spiffy add-ons for Lanbril that got out of hand.

But I think your conclusions on poisons are pretty reasonable. The massive heal spells are very rare. Sandy did an analysis one in the digest as to how many resurections are possible a year , and it is very low. Heal body is just about as bad, though the Orlanthi are better off than most. The trick with cumulative posions is that you have to suspect poisoning to deal with it. Even then, the heal body will repair the damage, not remove the toxin - just like casting heal body on someone set on fire by a flame-thrower will not put the fire out.
