Yes, exactly, I'd thought of the parallel when we did work on teh Rufelza write up with Greg and Steve over the last week. The manifestations in FS all show the Masks mentioned as appearing in lesser places. I wonder if this is a requirment of the Emperors. I think so.

>The Red Goddess appeared at an otherwise obscure rite (the ritual of the

Yes.

>Norri (cute red-headed orphan from the streets of Torang), who had a past

True

>The parallel is exact. "The actual fact of the Goddess's appearance seems to
>have been taken by many to be the reason why she was worthy of support in

>Orphan Teelo, were it not that she was now a Goddess.

True

>But this DOES NOT MEAN that Teelo Norri did not exist before the Seven
>Mothers awoke in her the current incarnation of the eternal Lunar Goddess.

True

>Now: why is it that I can see this, but Martin Laurie won't?

So what you are saying is that all along, the RMM has put forward the view that the person who ends up being Emperor is simply possessed by the eternal spirit of the deity and that the past history of the person is irrelevant to the singular nature of the incarnated deity?

Or are you saying that the deity incarnates but is somehow affected by the spirit and thinking of the person it inhabits to the point where they are subordinate or an equal partner?

Still not sure about what you mean.

Martin Laurie
