Martin,

On reflection, a lot of my ad hominem rant on publishing was directed towards Greg. I trust you'll pass it on when you see him next.

Roderick,

Thanks for the response, but I think you missed the point. I wrote

> I think it is extraordinarily fucking rich for _any_ official
> representative of Issaries/Chaosium to complain about the lack of
> published material for Glorantha.

and that was entirely my point. It was a response to an accusation about the _volume_ of publication. Nothing to do with the quality of arguments. If MOB, say, publishes bollocks, I'll be among the first to say it's bollocks. But I'll still be grateful that he published something I could comment about, and not complain that he hasn't published more.

OTOH, you and several others do bring up interesting points about the ownership of Glorantha, which I'll discuss in another post.

Eric,

>> So if you want to complain about a lack of published work, why the fuck >> wasn't Chaosium publishing?

> I don't want to ruin a perfectly good rant, but in this case it was
> probably because they didn't own the intellectual property and couldn't.
> Feel free to rant about them selling it to AH, but that's another story.

OK, I'll concede that one. But the main point stands.

Neil.
