Did Buddha know he was Buddha all along?
Stepping out of both the RW and Glorantha, I can think of a example or two in fantasy fiction.
In Tanith Lee's "The Birthgrave" the main character doesn't realize who she is until the end of the novel.
In the Black Company books, I don't think the White Rose knew who she was all along.
