Whilst acknowledging that I have been out-digested in terms of defining a Hero, in a desperate Final Action I call to the witness stand Harlan Ellison:
'Today's hero is tomorrows thug'

Bonnie Tyler:
'I need a hero...strong and tough..etc.etc'

Dictionary:
'man admired for great or noble deed; person of extreme courage.'

Joseph Cambell (by omission)
There is no Hero as Tax Collector in his book 'Hero with a Thousand Tax Returns'
