Which, of course, is why you can't just Heroquest to defeat Chaos...

The general problem with the quest for the "ultimate truth" is believing that there is one! The fact that the Orlanthi, and the Lunars, and the Praxians etc etc "Know" their gods exist because they interact with them and their magic works is exactly the same way that, for example, the Aztecs new that their gods were real, because they kept replacing the sun thanks to the Human Sacrifices, or the Egyptians knew their Gods were real because the Nile continued to flood...
