Peter, it seems silly to me to use this as evidence of technology. Do you really believe that Greg (or whomever came up with Korvan) was thinking about metal tool technology when he named the rouge elf that?
I thought the practice of teasing sense out of gloranthan poetical references had been disproven a decade ago.
