Nothing - Weapons/Armor are simple Bonuses to your ability, *not* AP.

Most campaigns shouldn't be affected - if you want to get advances in magic at the "normal" cost (3 for Affinities, etc.), then you have to get rid of your common magic anyway. Campaigns set in the West will probably be the most affected, since western non-magicians don't (or at least, *didn't*) have any magic. Heortlings should stay pretty unaffected.

You can't raise Keywords using HP (there is a way to do it, but it requires the narrator to instigate it, or at least approve). You *do* raise individual abilities within a keyword using HP. What Roger is describing is one way to represent "bought-up skills".

How you represent your character is really up to you, but you can do something like:

Keyword: Warrior 17
  Close Combat +4
  Ride +2
...

Or you can list
Keyword: Warior 17
  Close Combat 1w
  Ride 19
...

Or you can list all your "Warrior" ablities like we did in the old way.

The problem with Black Holes is that you don't get any information from them. Orlanth is Dead was 6 weeks with the professional layout guy, who only after that time said: "I don't have time to work on it". If he had said that up-front, Greg would have been able to find another layout guy and so shave 6 weeks off of the delay. We would have it in our hot little hands right now.
