FWIW, as the originator of the Puma People thread, my only purpose was to point out what looked like an incredibly important but subtle and inobvious application of the rules and find out whether it was intentional or not.

In my campaign, we had already house ruled the issue awaqy because it didn't fit our vision. So it's not like it was affecting our game fun or anything like that.

I don't think that the issue of whether or not Species with inherent magic can ever concentrate their magic is trivial. And based on Runequest (in which Dwarves could only ever be users of Sorcery), it seemed at least marginally likely that the authors may have intended Dwarves to have innate spells which precluded them from concentrating in anything other than Wizardry.

I never meant for there to be any rancor, or the perception of rancor. I just wanted to hear whether it was meant to be intentional and what others thought of it.
