At first I thought this was a good point, but upon rereading my recently received <BLISS> copy of the rules I find that this is not the case. Page 137 under "Spirit Allies" says "It can release itself from the fetish whenever desired, without resistance and without taking an unrelated action." It DOES apply to fetishes. That having been said, I rather like the idea and would probably use it as a house rule.
