Idea for integration

I was thinking about Spirit integration and how to work it under the new rules. My goal was to make it less impressive than it was in HW and to use a currently existing HeroQuest mechanic.

I realize a trip to the Spirit World isn't a HeroQuest per se, but what if you allowed HeroQuest Challenges in such a trip? A Practitioner could open the spirit world, step in (better have a Shaman handy), and then Challenge a friendly spirit. He pays the 2 hp and stakes one of his abilities. The spirit does likewise, staking the desired ability. Assuming the hero wins, he has now integrated either all or part of the Spirit and its ability.

Example:

Jack worships (ecstatically) Telmor, the great wolf spirit and wishes he could be more like a wolf. So he goes to a friendly Shaman and asks for his help. The Shaman agrees to help and the two of them Open the Spirit World. The Shaman leads Jack in and stands by to help him back out while Jack tries to find a friendly Practice Spirit. Jack comes across a nice Wolf Cub spirit with Gain Sustenance From Elder 5W and Hide Behind Mother 7W. Jack adventures with his mom, so he asks the Wolf Cub if he can integrate his Hide Behind Mother. The Wolf Cub agrees and Jack Challenges him. Jack stakes his Tooth and Claw Fighting 19 and the Wolf Cub stakes his Hide Behind Mother 7W. They roll off and Jack gets a victory. Now Jack has partially integrated the Wolf Cub and has the ability Hide Behind Mother 19. The Wolf Cub (since it was only partially integrated) returns part of himself to the spirit world (with in Sustenance From Elder 5W and Hide Behind Mother 8) while the rest becomes a part of Jack. The Shaman brings Jack back to Glorantha.
