Philip, read my original question again... I was not comparing thanksgiving with Easter, but looking for equivalents in Glorantha. "Henk's assumption" is your assumption... :-)

Roderick's reply was exactly the kind of thing I would expect.

I know that sacred time and easter are both spring festivals. And as such, the origins of easter go further back than 20 centuries. And what do we know about thanksgiving? Didn't it originate with the native population in North America? They may have had similar autumn festivals long before they shared it with the newcomers.

So, as easter and thanksgiving are in their roots seasonal festivals, it's not such a bad idea to compare them after all. Thanks for the suggestion!
