I don't know why, but that gave me an idea... the alynx did have a theist soul but the spiritist extracted it and made it a spirit (why? how? when? Did the player get the ritual from the wrong sources? did he read them wrong? was there interference from some kind of enemy?) The alynx is either annoyed and wants to go back to its theistic origin, or it's excited by this new development and wants to explore possibilities... or wants to avenge itself...
well... just an idea anyway.
