You mean, the AP total doesn't 'reset' at all? That would be rather retrograde, IMO, other than in situations where the first fight had a 'false ending', or the two were very close together indeed.

One could, as a halfway house, apply some sort of 'carry-over', where the fights are coming relatively thick and fast, but not so much so that they're actually blurring together. There is, after all, a big difference in between being somewhat winded after having a Dark Troll try and squash you flat, and the situation you were in at the time (let's say, pinned under a table, the troll raising his devlishly heavy-looking maul above his head... (immediately before your companion Firespeared his bleedin' head off).
