Of course if you have concentrated you can. Find yourself a Hurt 'em charm/feat/etc and off you go.

I'm sure that some narators would even allow the occasional improvisation of such a feat from combat/death affinities. :-)

IIRC the Black Fang Brotherhood had a megga dissrupt as a rune spell (Shatter or somesuch) Maybe that can be an Injure 'em feat. The Humakti still retain their Kill 'em as the cult secret.

IMO augments still mostly do this. Augmenting with your Flaming Sword talent still makes yuour sword burst into flame. It's still good old battle magic. Hell, the correspondence between Bladesharp and augmenting with your Combat affinity or SwordHelp feat is pretty clear. The only difference is probably the disrupt. You can't directly attack someone with your augment.
