This strikes me as somewhere in the rules where ambiguity is undesirable.
After all it does not just apply to wounds as in most games - we are
discussing the core mechanic of the whole game here. I have looked at Hero
Wars, to see if that was clearer, but it didn't help. I'll have a look at
the excellent Players Book after my tea. :)
