Whoops, meant "Paul" instead of "Sam". Paul having been the most recent-besides-yourself.

Depends on the game, of course. How many times has a hero been driven to "Dying"/Complete Defeat in your game? In something other than deadly combat?

I do it because I can't always tell if someone is a newbie or not, and I sometimes get the electronic equivalent of a blank stare and "What page?" in the returning email even if they're not. Since I'm at my desk with the book to hand (*and* I usually look up the rules just to be sure that I'm getting it right), it's no skin off my nose to add in the page reference.
