In my in house mystic rules I am allowing mystics to have a flaw 'entanglements with the world' which is a measure of their failure as a mystic. This flaw is gained as the mystic generates 'illusory' or 'mystic' Hero Points. In other words, a mystic hero can call upon his mystic ability, resisted by his current 'entanglements' , and act as if he has a hero point to burn. As a result he gets a spectacualr effect, but his flaw also goes up. Other mystic can exploit this 'entanglement' and use it as a source of AP, as if they were 'borrowing' AP (ie they use the flawed mystics entanglement as their ability rating to lend AP from the flawed mystic)

For a Sheng character, he has loads of 'mystic' Hero Point to burn, even to increase his other abilities, but is vulnerable to other mystics, who can exploit his fascination with so called reality. This is really HP on HP, for those failed mystics out there.
