I have more or less exactly the same problems with magic vs mundane abilities, and have come to one or two conclusions.

Firstly, make more use of that -5 Resistance for touch range magic. So if YOU jump, YOU get stronger, YOU etc etc, the resistance is 5 less than it should be. OK, 5 isn't much, pitiful at high ratings.

Secondly, we need more magical resistance tables. We have one for Number of targets, Duration and Distance, we need one for weight/mass, one for speed, maybe some others. Use these for magical resistance (but I think using the Distance table for leaps is excessive).
