Having relied on my Talk My Way Out of Trouble 7W2 to avoid being punched in the nose in a couple of bars the real world answer is - it depends on who makes the first move. If the first thing you know is he hits you then your AP probably come from your Close Combat (and in my case you have to hope the cops are on their way), if you get angry pre-thumping glowering and name calling its probably your Talk My Way Out of Trouble vs his Brave or Drunk (with his girlfriend lending encouragement and APs with her Unmerciful To Enemies).
Despite what your mum & dad told you and your brothers, somebody nearly always is responsible for starting trouble...
