Thank you Allison for correcting me on the cultural niceties of your national sport. :)

Here in Oz, we also call football 'soccer'. Australian Rools, alas, involves too much flying to ever be a duck sport. Swans, yes, ducks, no. But hey, May/June is jest perfect for winter sports in my neck of the woods. :)

By coincidence, I happened to watch some curling just last Sunday, and I was enthralled. It was our Sunday morning lie-in, and the tv was a choice between car racing, bike racing, hymns or curling. It was some big event, a Canadian Women's Team vs the USA, and I was totally hooked! Perfect for ducks, who, with most Gloranthan feathered peoples, and indeed birds, do not fly south for the winter.

The next stop on my beasty round up is baboons. Unfortunately, baboons are much less serious than ducks. With their hierarchical society, they're no doubt big on team sports. Any suggestions?

Cheers

John
