Oakley, ah yes the poor fellow. His affliction was a little less fundamental, don't you think? We are, after all, talking about a mythical entity (this new river for the Gloranthan Underworld); it can do whatever the storyteller says it can do.

Except that illumination has very little do with memory. An illuminate that loses most of his mind, like Oakley Gauntest, is still an illuminate.
