I've always pictured there being different types of plinths depending on who made it - EWF human, EWF newt, post-EWF newt...

Generally I picture the usual plinth, marking the roads, as largish standing stones with draconic carvings on it.

For an 'intersection' or large nexus point they were middlish sized ziggurats with a large stone oroboros 'O' on top of them, gathering and funnelling the flow of draconic energy.
