And the Errata corrects this. The Bat was in 1619. Not 1621. See KoDP for confirmation if you like.
And somewhere, I'm sure, is the story of how it was beaten off: the small group of Orlanthi heroes who flew up to its back and killed off most of the controlling priests, forcing the survivors to banish the Bat back to Hell, quick, before it went completely out of control and ate the Lunar army. I know this is part of GAG, but have no idea where the source was.
