Night jumpers, grain pits, running the gauntlet. Nice ideas. There would be some gardens within the walls (though I'm still not sure exactly how to imagine the layout - a gigantic, towering hill fort with gleaming citadel on top?)

Perhaps even some food direct from Orlanth's table. That last altar is a pretty powerful gateway, and towards the end just about every hero in Sartar must have been crowding in to help defend it. Lots of ritual mojo per square metre. It might take a week to get to the table (quests being what they are), but yummmmeeee! In fact, this may have been one of sparks for the burst of experimental heroquesting that Whitewall inspired - lots of devotees and heroes from all over the place, an incredible gathering of skill and ritual knowledge and power, plus an enormously powerful temple... but few of the usual props and starting points for the quests. Everything has to begin and end within the walls. Interesting....

There's all the Whitewall Uz as well. Again not a great problem, as long as the defenders slay a few dozen Lunars per day. No bash, no grub. Simple.
