I had a guy who wanted two swords. I said fine. He still only got
+3. Why? Because if he got +6 from using two swords then it leads
to people wanting to use two swords for the plusses and not the
aesthetics. We eventually went as far as giving the 'web of death'
skill which was basically his two weapon fighting style. He was
chuffed got a couple of points on augment and game balance was
maintained.
I also had a guy who wanted those weapons used by the elves at the
start of Fellowship of the Ring. Why not? I think we gave him a
+5 as it was a two handed weapon.
