I wasn't thinking so much of a pass, as the more heroic "they somehow
did the impossible, climbed right out of the world, survived
supernaturural winds, shattering cold, and hostile wind children.
Everyone, even their pursuers, thought they must be dead. But three
weeks later they came out in a strange land, gaunt and frost bitten,
but alive....."
But what you said got me thinking.....can you affect the _physical_
world with a hero quest? i.e. could you actually, in theory, create
a pass with a hero quest? Or is the middle world only subject to
what happens within it now?
