right...what's an addi?

Checking out the write-up of Doburdun on the Issaries site, and there's the skill of "Addi Fighting," as well as the skills "Addi & Shield Fighting" and "Throw Addi." And there are some feats that involve a "lightning addi." So, what's an addi? I can't find it in my dictionary, in an online dictionary, or an online encyclopedia. I googled the word & didn't find anything.
