Inhuman games

I've just read a review of the Bygone Bestiary on RPG net and it made me wonder if anyone had tried to run a game that was substantially made up with inhuman heroes. I am sure there are, or have been Uz games (Oh, and baboons and ducks, and diokos demons) but I am thinking of more obscure creatures - griffins, giants, thunder rams (?), morocanth, mermen, grotarons....

I know there was a game where all the players were demon horses in the playtests, and I also remember that one of the features of the Other Game was that non-humans could be PCs so I wondered if anyone had continued this Gloranthan gaming tradition or run anything more than one offs.

if so, did it work, were there unexpected problems?
