Lightning is originally from Umath (from the myths), stolen from his corpse by Yavor, and gained back by Orlanth. So lightning is storm, as is thunder (sometimes referred to separately). Thunder is the spear of Orlanth, and Lightning is his javelin.
I have a fondness for the other set of affinities.
Storm = strength
Fire = Intelligence
Water = Quickness/agility
Earth = Constitution/resilience
Darkness = Power/soul
