I like the idea that most Heortling LM priests do prophecy this way.

I was thinking a subcult that didn't specify what type to use. Maybe hero cults that are more divvied up by type?
And this, btw, is what happened to the player. She had tomes and cryptic documents. When she returned to her clan, she realized they prophecied the doom of her tribe. Unfortunately, she misinterpreted what was the key element and what might stop it. She's been outlawed, and of course, the Kultain fell just as predicted.

I think it was one of those cases where the reading was accurate, but not correct. All the omens about power and such were true. It just didn't mean the Temple. :)
