So the God Learner core runes are all that we are talking about when we say "owns a rune" here? (Roughly.)

So it's a really bad term? More than one person can "own" it. More than one can know certain truths about the same rune (even if they don't know the same truths), etc? So it is really just the "sphere of influence" they have or really they are "associated" with a rune.

That's much better, since otherwise you end up with the idea that their are 30 "real" gods who own the main runes, and everyone else is just some kind of lesser knock off, which seems completely wrong to the Glorantha I had grown to know.

(Whew, I was worried for a second.)
