While horse *are* scared of the Demons, the Grazers are *not* a pure light-cavalry force. They, also, have heavy cavarly (not full cataphract rig, but heavy enough). A couple-three Grazers could probably go toe to ..., err, hoof to hoof with a demon with a reasonable chance of success. And a war of attrition would favor the Grazers. Horses and riders are self-producing, unlike the demons.

Plus, a lasso 'round the neck will spoil anyone's day... (What, don't *your* grazers use lassos?)
