That's what I would do. I'm certain that this also helps lend to the general fear of shamans. Well, "healthy respect". They get themselves into these kinds of situations, they put themselves at much greater risk of this sort of thing happening than anyone else. They act weird all the time so you can't tell if they happen to be spirit-ridden right now.

Best to avoid them. :)
