The languages are related (part of the Theyalan family of languages), but IIRC they are from different branches..

MGF applies here, I think. Do you want to worry about it ? I'd have thought that there would have been a degree of convergence between the languages in Northern Sartar and Southern Tarsh if you need some rationalisation..
