Yes. The system is essentially intact, up to now. Your game is about what happens next.

The admission or not of Loskalmi shortcomings is of course a HUGE part of the story. Certainly many will hold tothe Old Way, others will stress the need to be practical.

At the moment, this is largely borne by the rest of his constituency. That is, the community is still willing to take their share of the loss. Everyone goes hungry when there is a food shortage, and the lords are not allowed to sieze their share at the expense of the peasantry. The lords don't have to maintain their pompous standard of living, etc.

A question worth investigating is:
Where would they look for this other income?
