Or perhaps Harrek found out a secret weakness of the White Bear and attacked at a time and a place when it could not properly defend itself. Or attacked in a way that it could not defend against.
As I recall all those Shaman types were engaged in a big secret rite when Harrek barged in. What was the secret and did knowing the secret give Harrek the upper hand?
Seems more likely than him bumping himself up to W8 or so at that stage in his career. More interesting story-wise as well.
