Convention scenario's give ALL players the opportunity to do what
would be fun or interesting, without the fear that they are going to
lose a carefully crafted character of a long term campaign. Sure,
somefolks play this way already, butsome people tend to be cautious
with their characters.
Think of it it Movie vs TV series. In the movie the hero can die
poigniantly. In the series, it doesn't make much sense to kill or
disopse of the hero the pilot episode (except if that happens to be
Blake 7!!)
