That really depends on how it's done. Given the setting you probably want to draw on Christian ideas here. Think Daniel in the lions den (and the rest of it!) and the stories of some of the saints - and amp it up.

I'd suggest that the knights are captured and LDoaH attempts to tempt them into joining the KoW. Through their holy resistance to temptation - probably going all the way to martyrdom - LDoaH is finally defeated. And maybe somebody manages to escape and tell the story so they can all be recognised as Saints.
