You're expecting consistancy among Orlanthi? I expect it's a case of "We are all Orlanthi, so specialisms must be aspects of Orlanth".

It exists, it's just called Orlanthcarl.

I think this sort of adoption of other gods as subcults by a mainstream diety is pretty common. There was discussion earlier about how Odayla has several subcults in Sylila. I can imagine Orlanth Thunderous being a subcult of Odalya there.

Agreed. Tarsh in Flames describes how an Orlanthi society without Orlanth works. The Orlanthi subcults are separate cults or subcults of other gods.
