Yes, that's the way the term is used in both KoS and TR. But as we've seen it's not the historical usage in either Scandinavia or England. (I suppose they're "collective" in the sense that they normally belong to a family, or to be more precise a father and his sons, but that's a much smaller collective than a clan.)

Wait a minute: when you say "coined", do you mean you thought you were making the term up from scratch?
