Err, okay... the HQ2 rules certainly don't add any genre details (it does have suggestions for dealing with various things like Superheroes, Psionics, etc. but no real rules concerning, say, Swashbuckling or Fairy-tale games). it may just be me, but stripping out whole sections of rules is easy - "I want to run a game that doesn't use magic - out those rules go!" and what's left is a genre-independent resolution matrix. Ignoring Glorantha in the non-magic rules of HQ1 is pretty easy, since magic is really where Glorantha comes through.

Bu tthen, I've been fiddling with rules since RQ1, so maybe I just have that kind of mind.
