Which unfortunately was its problem. Every community got boxed into the hero band standard format and the idea of a "hero band" lost any distinctive meaning other than "Gloranthan community". Clans, tribes, kingdoms, temples, cities - once they all became "hero bands" and described using the same standard format (leader, notable members, and so on) it became a victim of standardization.

Gloranthan communities still have magical resources and guardians, and can be described using the HeroQuest Community Resource and Support rules.
