Agreed to a point. But, when you initiate into a cult, you relive some of the feats, discover some of the secrets etc. of your God. If (big if, don't know what their initiates actually do) Yanafali initiates explicitly relived Yanafal getting ressurected, they would be subject to the restriction, right?
I had to run a somewhat off the cuff initiation into an Arkati variant of Humakht (in Ralios). The ceremony involved a Humakt duel to the death. Players were actually scared! The loser then met an incarnation of Arkat (very briefly) and was ressurected. Don't know if this is officially correct, but it felt right, and, the players were all very moved and impressed.
