Dragons in the West: Embodiment of evil?

Ok, here's the question.

In the great monotheistic religions of Terra there's usually a great evil, to offset the great God.

What is the great evil of the Malkionists? (apart from other sorts of Malkionists)

The Brithini are pretty good of course, but they are a rather abstract threat these days, and even they are more like heretics. Vadeli are somewhat in the same class, though they are certainly evil enough.

Is it Krjalki (mosters) in general? Be it pagans, trolls or chaos travesties?

What about dragons? What are they? Are they just another powerful class of Krjalki? Later stages of christianity seemed to link dragons with the devil. Does this happen in the West?
