I must say I like Bryan's ideas and even though Peter tries to explain why it is not likely he has conceded that nothing is impossible Heortling culture. I like the idea of Apple Lane as a sort of Gretna Green where couples go to get some sort of fertility magic, or get reconciled, or meet despite their feuding clans, or to pawn their wedding rings (or whatever Heortlings use) when Uleria no longer blesses them.
