Argan Argar is not one of the Council of Eight (Uz, p5), so he would have to pay double HP to acquire a Hombobobom spirit fetish. HPs represent not just power and experience but also commitment, so it also embodies some of that. He will also have to convince a Hombo shaman to provide the fetish, but would not have to carry out duties as such beyond what the shaman might demand. This could have been, um, spelled out more clearly (sorry for both the omission and the pun!) but the point is that for the uz, such distinctions as theistic vs animist don't have anything like the same importance, as in Wonderhome all were much alike. If you feel this is unbalancing in game terms, remember that the uz who chooses to acquire lots and lots of different magics is spreading her HP thinly and her commitments wide (what happens when all those shamans and priests of other cults start calling in the favours?), whereas her more focused sister will have fewer, but more powerful abilities, and a much easier life!

Hope this helps,
