Then just do it with a little more style. Please. Lots of folk don't mind change, and in many cases positively welcome it. But when that change affects the considerable work (often done in conjunction with Greg) of others just employ a little finesse. That's all.

Whether or not you indulge past writers' opinions in the lead-up to it is your own affair, but let's set aside provocative language like "I really don't care" or "It doesn't bother me." And if you do think that, for pity's sake don't admit it. Nowt good comes of it.

It's not just "Group Hug!" Glorantha relies on outside contributions. There are better ways to make sure folks like John, who have contributed much good in the past, do so in the future.

Chris and I have already both made this point. For us, it's the manner of the change. When people as disparate as a gun-tootin' Texan lawyer and a lefty Boltonian volcano-early-modern historian agree, they might be on to something.

To say I'm thoroughly hacked off with all this is an understatement. 'Why the fuck should I bother,' is perhaps not too far from the mark. At the moment Tékumel's looking far more appealing.
