B) Throw him a feast: Listen to his stories
The trader tells many interesting stories, but one of them especially catches your attention.
"For some reason we have not yet been able to figure out, the other clans
in the tribe said we had brought them and their ancestors shame, and
demanded that we gave up the Kings seat. We managed to sway them
with elogant words and give us some more time. We performed the heroquest
'Chalana Arroy Heals The Scars' to cure a rift in the tribe, but that
didnt help. We had earlier performed the quest increasing our reputation,
too, but nothing seemed to help. Soon they once again demanded us to
resign the post of the king. This time we couldnt talk them out of it, and
had to submit to their demands. In the following session we humbly
abstained from choosing a king since our reputation was bad, but we did
use our magic to hinder the candidate performing the tests, and luckily
enough, he 'accidentially' died. The same was repeated in the next
session. During the third meeting we managed to get our candidate
chosen, and better yet, the same person who had been the king earlier!
Guess they just decided that we had the favor of the gods since all
others died, or something..."
(Does anybody know why the heck they say we have shamed their ancestors?!? I have only two times managed to stop this event from constantly reoccuring, and that was by doing some heroquest, but I dont remember which one.)
