Except that Orlanth was always doing that in the myths. Which is why the cults of Vinga, Elmal and Rigsdal arise. Of course with a lot of Vingans at WW it does beg the question who does stay at home?

I've assumed there are weaponthanes from cults like Starkval and Elmal who remain with the fyrd even when the warband is elsewhere. Also the majority of the fyrd stays home, few clans can afford to have a high proportion of their menfolk away for seasons.

Something else for the clan to argue over.
